Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Foundry Compliance (the "Service"), operated by Foundry Compliance Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17192669). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service does

Foundry Compliance is an AI-powered tool that checks architectural design documentation against UK building regulations, currently Part L 2021 and Future Homes Standard (ADL1 2026). It produces finding documents with clause references. It does not produce binding professional certifications, building control approvals, or legal advice.

Every finding document includes the regulatory clause it is based on. The professional using the Service is responsible for verifying findings and making submission decisions. Foundry Compliance does not accept liability for submission outcomes based on its findings.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@foundrycompliance.co.uk.

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload documents you do not have permission to share
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract the Service's regulatory logic
• Use the Service to generate compliance documentation for submission without professional review
• Share your account credentials with others not covered by your subscription plan

4. Subscription and payment

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Prices are shown on the pricing page and are exclusive of VAT. VAT is charged at the standard UK rate to UK customers.

We will give 60 days' notice of any pricing changes for existing customers. Changes apply on your next renewal date after the notice period.

Pioneer Year subscriptions are priced at £79/month for months 1–12. From month 13, the subscription moves to the standard £139/month rate. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access until then.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription payment if the product does not function as described. Contact support@foundrycompliance.co.uk to request a refund.

6. Your data

You can export your full check history at any time from the account settings page. After 30 days from cancellation, your data is permanently deleted from our systems.

7. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of all design documentation you upload. Foundry Compliance does not use your uploaded documents to train AI models. Finding documents generated from your uploads belong to you.

The Service itself, including the regulatory mapping logic, AI prompts, and software, belongs to Foundry Compliance Ltd.

8. Limitations of liability

The Service is provided "as is". Foundry Compliance does not warrant that findings are error-free or that the Service will be uninterrupted. We will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the fees you paid in that period.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes via email to your registered address. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
