Terms of Service

Version 2.0 — 22 May 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Foundry Compliance service (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Foundry Compliance provides an AI-assisted tool for checking building design parameters against England and Wales regulatory standards including Approved Document L 2021 (England), Approved Document L (Wales) 2022, and the Future Homes Standard (ADL1 2026). This tool covers England and Wales only and does not cover Scottish or Northern Irish building regulations.

3. Nature of AI-Assisted Outputs

Compliance assessments provided by this platform are generated by an AI-assisted rule engine that checks inputs against the requirements of the applicable Building Regulations (Part L, Approved Document L and the Future Homes Standard). While our checks are based on authoritative regulatory thresholds, outputs represent automated analysis only and should be reviewed by a suitably qualified professional before submission to Building Control or reliance in professional practice. Foundry Compliance Ltd does not accept liability for decisions made solely on the basis of platform outputs without independent verification against the primary regulatory documents.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Foundry Compliance makes no warranty that:

Reports generated by the Service must not be submitted to building control authorities or relied upon as professional assessments without independent review by a qualified building control professional or energy assessor.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Foundry Compliance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you consent to the data practices described therein.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The version date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last updated. You will be asked to re-accept when the version changes.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
